Last night saw  the Eden Stell Guitar duos debut at the Kitchener Waterloo Chamber Music Society (KWCMS). Great finish to Guitar Alla Grande

Guitar Alla Grande Festival ended with a wonderful student concert featuring some phenomenal young players.  Before the closing concert there was also an exhibition of guitar makers where the festival participants were able to try out instruments and talk to the luthiers. Eden Stell Duo Alla Grande Festival concert

Last night saw the start of the Eden Stell Guitar Duo’s North American tour.  The concert took place at Pavillion Tabaret at the University of Ottawa.  After being separated from his guitar for 24 hours, Chris was reunited with it completely repaired with only 20 minutes to go before the start of the concert. Eden Stell masterclass at Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau, Ottawa

Mark and Chris were really impressed with the committed performances from the guitar students of the University of Ottawa, Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau, and Cambrian College de Sudbury who all responded so positively to musical ideas and suggestions in their class.  Some noteworthy performances included the trio of two guitars and violin who performed Clarice Assad’s ‘Ad. Lib.’ from her ‘Three Sketches’, and the young precocious talented guitarists who performed Leo Brouwer’s guitar quartet ‘Cuban Landscape with Rain’. Read more
